The Kambeng Trust

From time to time the children within school raise money for The Kambeng Trust, a charity which supports a village in The Gambia, Africia. The Village is called Bakary Sambouya named after Bakary Sambou who settled there in 1941 with his herd of cows. His desendants are still living there.

The Kambeng Trust amongst other things funds the school, health clinic and ambulance, provides medicine and supports the development of community projects.

Our cake sale in March 2013 raised £80.00 and when Sue Currant visited in April she assured us that every penny we raise makes a difference.
