Reading Books

The first list has fiction books recommended for children in Classes 1 and 2.  The books may well appeal to older children.  Some of them will be too challenging for your child to read independently.  If this is the case, it would be a good opportunity for you to read it to them as they are guaranteed to enjoy the story. Some children prefer non-fiction books which is great, but a list of these books would be never ending!  If your child has a particular interest, for example dinosaurs, most libraries will try to find or order books for you.
