We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, flexible and committed School Business Manager to become an essential part of our team at Birdlip Primary School.

The role of SBM here at Birdlip offers an exciting opportunity to be at the very heart of operations of this thriving village school. We have a highly dedicated team of enthusiastic, skilled and supportive staff and a parental and pupil community that are second to none. Situated in the high Cotswolds Birdlip Primary serves a rich and diverse catchment that sits equidistant between Gloucester, Cheltenham, Stroud and Cirencester.
We have wonderful grounds and a charming old school building that serves as the administration block, it might leak on the odd occasion but it’s a bright, warm and welcoming place to work.

As a SBM with experience or equivalent you will know that no one day is ever the same and that you will need to be all things to all people as well. Perhaps you currently have a back ground in business; lead a team in your workplace or maybe you are currently working as a SBM in a school. If you relish the challenge and fun that an ever changing day brings then Birdlip is for you.

So if you think that you are the embodiment of the Rudyard Kipling poem, ‘If’ and the A-Team combined with a dash of Hermione Granger thrown in for good measure (we do like a little magic) then you are the person for our team.

The post is part time, Monday to Friday 08:45am to 4:15pm, term time only including inset days. In addition to this there will be a requirement to work for a further ten working days spread throughout the school holidays.

Application packs may be obtained from the school, via email: . Candidates are welcome to visit the school from Monday 4th November 2019. Please e-mail or telephone the school to arrange.

Please apply using the GCC Application Form..

Closing date for applications: Monday 25th November 2019.

Interviews: Friday 29th November 2019.
